We work to connect the most sought-after Aboriginal artists with collectors and art admirers across the world, as well as supporting emerging artists from the Central and Western Desert regions.All artworks are sent unstretched, and securely rolled into a postal tube for safe delivery. All artworks are supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity and any other relevant documentation. -

A working gallery and studio in the heart of Central Australia
This Is Aboriginal Art occupies two levels at the start of Alice Springs' Todd Mall, filled with original paintings, sculpture and crafts from the Central and Western Desert regions. We are also a studio: many of the artists we represent choose to paint here, alongside artists working from home and from remote community art centres. Our staff share knowledge drawn from years of working directly with the artists: where a painting comes from, the story it carries, and the person who made it. If you're in Mparntwe, come and see us. Ethics first, the artist decides
We believe self-determination starts with the right to choose how you work. Some of our artists prefer painting at home, some at their community art centre, some in our on-site studio, and many move between all three. We let the artists decide, and we work respectfully and fairly with both independent artists and art centres. This Is Aboriginal Art is a member of the Aboriginal Art Association of Australia, where our director serves as Secretary on the Board, and of the Art Consulting Association of Australia. Founded on 17 years in Australian art
Director Venita Poblocki opened This Is Aboriginal Art in 2017 after a career spanning both sides of the industry: a Masters in Arts Administration (Curatorship) from UNSW, Aboriginal art specialist at Lawson Menzies Auctioneers, manager of two of Sydney's major Aboriginal art galleries, council curator, and curator of the John Fries Art Award. Every artwork we sell is an original, hand-painted by the Aboriginal artist named on it. We don't sell prints. Every artwork leaves with a Certificate of Authenticity and full documentation.
