Lynette WIlliams lives between Alice Springs and her community of Willowra. Lynette learnt her techniques from the elders around her and has successfully honed her own distincive and textural style. Lynette paints the bush seed often used to make damper (a type of bread). Using fine lines and dots, she composes concentric circles on the canvas to represent the watheholes around which the damper seed grows. Lynette often paints in a monochromatic palette of black and white or yellow ochre and white. She is meticulous in her painting style and take great pride in representing aspects of her culture for others to enjoy.
