In this painting, Meredith depicts aspects of the famous Kungkakarangkalpa Tjukurpa, Seven Sisters Dreaming, a songline that intersects the entire continent and has many different versions across a variety of Aboriginal language groups. Meredith paints a part of the story that crosses her ancestral country in the APY Lands, where the sisters are walking across the arid land, trying to escape the pursuing man, Nyriu. The roundels on the canvas represent the waterholes and rockholes where the sisters camped and the overlay of finely dotted winding lines are the paths walked by the women.
