Celena paints the Minyma Malilu story like many of her family members - esteemed artists like her sister Clarise Tunkin, and family members Theresa Baker, Patricia (Kani) Tunkin, and Kay Baker. Minyma Malilu is a 'big story' about a spiritual ancestor woman Malilu, who dug a cave to be close to her daughter, who had run away with a man of the wrong “skin”. Malilu’s cave is still visited today as a site of significance, and is believed to have spiritual healing powers. Celena also paints an Emu & Bush Turkey story.
