Janet Golder Kngwarreye created a fresh artistic expression of her country and culture, titled 'My Country'. In these paintings, Janet encapsulates aspects of her country and in particular, women's business. Employing traditional iconography, Janet paints symbols referencing the preparation of bush medicines, the gathering of bush tucker including pencil yams, seeds and plums, and aspects of Awelye (women's ceremony and body paint designs).
