Patsy is a Warlpiri artist who paints aspects of women's business, from collecting bush seeds, blackberries and onions to ceremonial details. Patsy and her family go out collecting bush tucker when they go back to their community, Willowra in the Northern Territory. It is her familiarity and affection for her abundant country that Patsy chooses to paint in her precisely painted works. Patsy learned to paint from her mother, who she says was the happiest person in the world.
