This painting depicts a Wangunu (Bush Damper) story. Alison paints the way bush damper seeds are collected from the ground by women, are ground and shaken in a coolamon to make a flour from which damper, a bread-like tucker, is made. Alison tells how her grandmother taught her to make damper this way and how it can be mixed with the honey from honey ants for a sweet treat.

Other stories Alison paints are Seven Sisters Dreaming, Kungka Kutjara (Two Women), Hilly Country, and the Mamu (Devil) story. Alison loves to sit and tell jokes and talk about stories, old and new, and her skill for story telling is evident in her paintings.
