Yinarupa Nangala paints areas of her country important to the Pintupi women and their ceremonies, in sandhill (tali) country on the outskirts of the Gibson Desert. Painting in a reduced palette and from a topographic view that is typical of the Western Desert painters, Yinarupa depicts the rockhole site of Mukula (near Juniper Well in Western Australia) and the rockhole site of Marrapinti (west of the Pollock Hills in Western Australia). Near Marrapinti there is plenty of bush tucker, such as bush raisins and bush tomatoes to be gathred. Yinarupa shows this process with the circles representing the fruits and the U shapes symbolising the women.
