Reanelle Jurrah
LANGUAGE: WALPIRI
REGION, WILLOWRA, N.T.
Reanelle Jurrah comes from the remote community of Willowra, which is several hundred kilometres north-west of Alice Springs. Her aunty is Eva Nelson (an esteemed artist) and they both paint a similar style by using a black and white colour palette and fine dotting. Reanelle often paints the bush damper seed depicting the waterholes around which the cherished seed is harvested. Reanelle is also related to well-known Aboriginal artist Dadu Long and like her artistic relatives, she shows great enthusiasm and potential.
