This painting depicts a favourite bush tucker of bush
tomatoes. Bush tomatoes are a native source of sustenance, vitamin C and
antioxidants. The shrub that is endemic to the vast central desert regions and
are easily recognizable by their pale silver-green leaves and purple
star-shaped flowers. Not only are they an important food source, the roots of
the bush tomato plant are also used for medicinal purposes.
