Freda Price paints a topographic view of her country in Utopia, an Indigenous homeland area in the Northern Territory that covers about 5,000 square kilometres and encompasses a number of communities. Freda depicts the tali (sand hills), geological striations in the land, watercourses and various types of bush tucker from a topographic perspective. Freda predominantly paints in a monochromatic palette, introducing just one or two colours to signify important geographical and spiritual aspects of her country.
