Born c1950, Kay comes from the famous painting family including Wipana Jimmy & Jimmy Baker. She is the grandmother to the emerging artist Clarise Tunkin. Kay was integral to the establishment of the small APY Lands community, Kanpi. She learnt arts and crafts (primarily batik) at Fregon Arts Centre. Kay now spends her time between SA and Alice Springs. Kay displays her painting talent through telling the stories of Malilu (a significant woman from Kanpi) and also the Emu Dreaming.
